Syn Emergence: A Short Film Experiment in Animation/Sound
This is really interesting and needs to be seen. A visual/aural trip. It’s kind of how I visualize the creation of the universe – and also, somehow, oddly, the connections made in a brain.Tags: animations, short films, space, trippy
Maya Hansen’s “Steampunk: Lost in Prague” Corsetry Collection
Since I fell in love with Maya Hansen‘s uber-colorful and tasty Cake Corset collection, she has come out with a new collection for autumn/winter 2010 inspired by steampunk.

See the complete collection here.
And here’s a behind-the-scenes video clip from the Cake Corsets shoot with Ulorin Vex:

Medical Fetish: Freyagushi
Freyagushi is an indie fashion label that makes corsets and related separates and accessories, including mini-hoopskirts, bloodied wrist cuffs, flowery collars, and Victorian-inspired black lace blouses. They have a frilly, cute, and playful edge. Designer Pinkindus says, “The Freyagushi medical experimentation line is the result of [my] wish to portray the duality of human beings….Many of Freyagushi’s creations combine nightmarish visions of death and blood with the delicacy of lace and feminine shapes.”
